Paul Heyman Says He Is Personally Responsible For Gable Steveson’s Success At Tokyo Olympics

WWE veteran Paul Heyman, who currently plays the role of WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns' special counsel, recently spoke with TMZ Sports, where he discussed new WWE signee Gable Steveson and that he is personally responsible for all of Gable Steveson’s recent success, including his gold medal win at the recently concluded Tokyo Olympics.

Paul Heyman said:

“I am personally responsible for all of Gable Steveson’s right business decisions in his life and his gold medal and his Hodge trophy and his NCAA Division 1 Heavyweight championship.”

Paul Heyman also talked about how he arranged for Gable Steveson to train with WWE legend "The Beast" Brock Lesnar at the University of Minnesota and how that training has helped Steveson win the gold at the Tokyo Olympics as well as the NCAA Division 1 Heavyweight Championship.

Paul Heyman said:

“I had everything with Gable Steveson winning the Olympic gold medal.” “I arranged for Gable Steveson to train with Brock Lesnar at the University of Minnesota, which helped Gable Steveson win the NCAA Division 1 Heavyweight championship. Then he used my strategy to win the gold medal in the Olympics.”

Paul Heyman then discussed how it would be wise in Steveson's part to listen to him and to stick with him in the WWE, so that he will achieve the same success as Brock Lesnar or Roman Reigns.

Paul Heyman said:

“Now, we’ll see how he does in WWE.” “He’s not at quite the level of a Ronda Rousey or a Brock Lesnar, certainly not of the Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns.”

“So far, Gable Steveson understands to listen to the wise man and he’s doing alright with that counsel.”
