-- On tonight's episode of WWE Friday Night Smackdown, a short vignette aired that showed a car in a darkened environment turning its headlights on and starting its engine. Police sirens were then shown as well as a helicopter circling and then what appeared to be a police chase and a car revving and a quick cut of the Detroit skyline. The video ended with the phrase "coming soon."
-- Based on all of this, it appears the vignette is signalling the debut of Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley who form the Motor City Machine Guns. The former multi-time TNA tag team champions became free agents in the spring before it was reported that they had signed with WWE and that their debuts were imminent.
-- PWInsider.com reported earlier this week that the Motor City Machine Guns were expected to debut on NXT but they weren't even in Chicago for the show. Instead, it now appears they will be debuting directly on Smackdown.
