The Women's Royal Rumble match saw a number of surprise returns in addition to the announced special entrants leading into the big event on Saturday night at The Dome at America's Center in St. Louis, Missouri.
During the bout, multiple former women's wrestling stars dusted off their ring gear for a special one-night appearance in the 30-woman match. Among them were Melina (entrant No. 2), Kelly Kelly (entrant No. 4), Ariane "Cameron" Andrew (entrant No. 13), Ivory (entrant No. 18) and Sarah Logan (entrant No. 25).
Following the show, several competitors who appeared as some of the 30 entrants in the 2022 Women's Royal Rumble match spoke in post-show interviews behind-the-scenes at the St. Louis-based venue for WWE.com digital exclusives.
First up, Sarah Schreiber caught up with former WWE Superstar Melina behind-the-scenes after the match to talk about her exciting return. As seen during the show, along with Sasha Banks, she was one of the first two entrants in this year's match, getting things started in the Women's Royal Rumble match in St. Louis. Watch her post-show interview via the WWE YouTube video embedded below.
Next, Kelly Kelly spoke with Megan Morant backstage at the show to discuss her return. Featured below is her post-match interview where she reflects on her experience in her third Women's Royal Rumble match appearance on Saturday night.
Former "Right To Censor" member Ivory also spoke backstage after the match, as the aforementioned Schreiber caught up with her at The Dome at America's Center to discuss her comeback appearance in WWE after several years away from the wrestling business. During the interview, which you can check out below, Ivory delivered a message to the Superstar who would eliminate her seconds after she entered the ring -- Rhea Ripley.
Also talking in a backstage WWE.com digital exclusive with Megan Morant after the Women's Royal Rumble match were Liv Morgan and the returning Sarah Logan. The two had an emotional on-camera reunion behind-the-scenes, which you can see for yourself via the video featured below courtesy of WWE's YouTube channel.
Morant caught up with Natalya backstage after the match, who surprised her with her enthusiasm as she was seemingly thrilled at her performance in the Women's Royal Rumble match due to what she feels qualifies as yet another all-time WWE record that she now owns. The Guinness Book of World Records owner of the most WWE wins in a career for a femle, as well as the most matches for a female and the most WWE pay-per-view appearances in the career of a female can add another one to the growing list of history-making accomplishments. Check out her post-match interview below where she gloats after setting a record for being eliminated twice in a Women's Rumble bout.
Finally, for those who missed them in previous reports here on the website after the WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view on Saturday night, the Women's Royal Rumble winner for 2022, "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey, as well as IMPACT Knockouts Champion Mickie James also spoke with Schreiber and Morant, respectively.
