-- Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings held a press conference this afternoon and one of the topics that came up was how WWE is able to continue to run events at the Performance Center (which is located within his county) despite the stay-at-home order that is in effect. According to Demings, after collaborating with the office of the Florida Governor, it was deemed that WWE is an "essential service" and as such, is not affected by the state's order. As a result, the company is free to continue to hold their events at the Performance Center, but must still abide by the guidelines suggested such as social distancing, a maximum number of people inside the facility, etc. WWE has reportedly also written up a statement highlighting their designation as an "essential service" and distributed to some of its employees on what to present to law enforcement officers should they be stopped and questioned.
"I think initially there was — a review that was done and they were not initially deemed an essential business. With some conversation with the governor’s office regarding the governor’s order, they were deemed an essential business. And so therefore, they were allowed to remain open."

-- While this explains how WWE is legally able to continue with their shows, it doesn't really shed any further light into why the company has decided to go live with Raw, Smackdown and NXT though as noted, it apparently stems from the contracts WWE has with FOX and NBCUniversal.
