Recent Reports Of Becky Lynch's WWE Contract Demands Are False; Latest On Her Situation

-- On the latest episode of "Backstage Pass", former WWE analyst Jonathan Coachman raised some eyebrows when discussing the contract situation of Becky Lynch as well as the salaries of current WWE superstars. Coach remarked that Roman Reigns was earning "15-20 million" while Cody Rhodes was "making 10-15" and Seth Rollins in the "3-7 million range." Coach also claimed that Lynch was asking for $2 million per year and WWE balked at her request.

-- Fightfulselect.com refuted those rumors, citing multiple company sources who shot down the report while noting that WWE and Lynch remain on "good terms" and the company is currently respecting her decision to take time off to spend with her family. Sources also felt that if Lynch wanted to sign a contract before commencing her leave of absence, both sides would have no doubt made it happen.

-- As far as the monetary figure of $2 million per goes, that number was also vehemently denied by those in the know as they claim that not only did Lynch not demand that amount, but even if she did, WWE would have absolutely jumped at the opportunity to lock her up for that value. The general wrestling pay scale for wrestlers at the top of both WWE and AEW has escalated significantly over the last couple of years and far exceed $2 million annually and any deal that Lynch eventually does sign will easily clear that amount. The number for Seth Rollins though was said to be relatively accurate while the numbers for Reigns and Rhodes could not be confirmed.
