As previously reported, Santos Escobar re-signed with WWE just a couple of days after his previous contract expired. Initially, Escobar had opted against signing a new deal due to creative frustrations. However, many within the company were pleasantly surprised by his return. It was also reported that before re-signing with WWE, Escobar was scheduled to appear at New York Comic-Con.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com, after Escobar's contract with WWE expired, he planned to be a surprise guest on last Thursday’s Headlocked & Masked Republic panel. However, with his re-signing, Escobar had to cancel his plans for New York Comic-Con.
Since re-signing, Escobar has yet to appear on television, and there is no information available about his creative direction upon his return. Updates will be provided as they become available.
