Recently Released WWE Star Announced For The 2022 wXw 16 Carat Gold Tournament

WWE recently released a total of 18 talents reportedly due to budget cuts and one of the talents that was released is NXT Star Oney Lorcan. Lorcan signed a developmental contract with WWE on September 1, 2015 under his real name Christopher Girard. Girard made his NXT debut at a house show on October 30, 2015 in a Halloween Battle Royal. He then made his Singles Match debut under his real name, losing to Rich Swann. On February 24, 2016, he made his NXT TV debut, when he lost a one-on-one match to Apollo Crews. Girard would then debut the ring name Oney Lorcan in June of 2016.

Oney Lorcan then competed on both NXT and NXT UK and would be teamed with Danny Burch after a rivalry between the two. Lorcan would become a one-time NXT Tag Team Champion with Danny Burch on the October 21 episode of NXT, when they defeated Breezango (Tyler Breeze and Fandango).

Shortly after Lorcan's WWE release was announced, Germany’s Westside Xtreme Wrestling took to Twitter and announced that former WWE NXT Star Oney Lorcan, now going under his previous name of Biff Busick, will be competing in the 2022 wXw 16 Carat Gold Tournament, which is set to take place from March 4th to March 6th at the Turbinenhalle in Oberhausen, Germany.
