WWE can hand out some unusual punishments from time-to-time.
During a recent installment of the Cafe de Rene program hosted by Rene Dupree, the former WWE Superstar told a story about one he was given during his run with the company.
On the latest episode of the official podcast hosted by the pro wrestling veteran, Dupree explained how he is one of the very few people who has ever seen Vince McMahon asleep.
“I will tell you this,” Dupree said. “I’ve seen him drunk and I’m probably one of the only very few people in history to see him sleeping."
What does a sleeping WWE Chairman look like?
"He does look like a corpse," Dupree said when describing what the longtime head of WWE looks like when he's 'catching some Z's.'
In addition to the story about seeing an intoxicated Vinnie-Mac turn in for the night, the Canadian wrestling star, whose real name is Rene Gougen, also shared a story about a punishment that was handed down to him during his WWE run.
Dupree also shared another story about fellow former WWE Superstar Zack Gowen getting walloped with a steel chair by Brock Lesnar as a punishment handed down by McMahon after getting caught smoking cigarettes behind-the-scenes at a WWE event.
“You believe nothing what you hear, but what I had heard is that he was caught smoking cigarettes backstage," Dupree stated when recounting the story. "If you’ve ever been backstage at a WWE show, Vince has ‘no smoking’ signs all over the building."
He continued, explaining how it was made clear that no one was permitted to get their nicotine and/or tobacco fix indoors at WWE shows unless their name was Pat Patterson or BlackJack Lanza.
"The only two people that were allowed to smoke were Blackjack Lanza and Pat Patterson," said Dupree, before getting to the part of the story that involves the aforementioned one-legged wrestling star nearly having his brains bashed in by "The Beast Incarnate."
"Anybody else, [no]," said Dupree. "So, anyway, remember that segment where Brock bashed [Gowen's] f*cking brains in with that steel chair in front of his own mother? That was punishment right there.”
No cigarettes at WWE live events when Vince McMahon is around, or you get a brain-bashing from a beast, unless of course you fire one up when the boss-man is taking an alcohol-induced nap. Then you might as well be smoking next to a corpse.
