-- A user on Reddit posted (and then deleted) about being one of approximately 60 non-crew individuals who were in the audience during Wednesday's Fyter Fest, detailing the steps the company took to minimize the risk of keeping performers safe from any potential COVID-19 infections. This individual noted that he was one of about 60 people who received a private invite to attend and once at the venue, was required to wear a mask in order to be let in. The fan also claimed that everyone had to sign waivers confirming they had not been exposed to COVID-19 but were not actually tested and instead were given temperature checks - unlike AEW wrestlers or crew who were required to take and pass a test. Once seated, the fan also wrote that there was considerable social distancing in place with several seats in between fans and every other row empty.
-- Prowrestlingsheet.com reports that AEW sources confirmed that outside fans were invited to Fyter Fest and that they were local Daily's Place or Jaguars sponsors and their family and friends. These people got seated in the very upper bowl of the Daily's Place and were exempt from the COVID-19 tests as officials felt that they were so far up in the stands that it would be impossible for them to breathe or spit on anyone in and around the ring or backstage. Individuals who were in the lower bowls or closer to the action were tested for COVID-19 and the source confirmed that the company spaced out fans beyond CDC guidelines, further supporting their lack of testing.
