Report: AJ Styles Actually Suffered A Legitimate Knee Injury On Smackdown; Undergoing MRI

-- Although it was initially reported that the injury he sold on last week's WWE Smackdown was for storyline purposes, it appears that AJ Styles' knee injury is in fact legitimate.

-- Fightfulselect.com initially reported that Styles was fine but Dave Meltzer of f4wonline.com is reporting that the injury is real and that Styles is undergoing further testing - an MRI - to determine the extent of the injury. Sean Ross Sapp of fightfulselect.com later tweeted that "the flip where he sold the knee was to be a work; the move where he landed on the knee was legit" and that the word internally is that he is hurt.

-- WWE posted that Styles suffered a sprained foot and Styles himself quoted that tweet with a "I believe everything happens for a reason; I'll keep you all updated" reply. Whether it's his knee or his foot, it sounds like he will be out of action for a while.
