A familiar veteran face could be back in WWE.
Dave Meltzer reported on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE is strongly considering bringing back Baron Corbin, labeling it as a topic that has been "heavily talked about." He added that Corbin is "probably back in WWE" but hasn't heard yet whether it's a done deal yet though wouldn't be surprised if it is.
Meltzer speculated that Corbin's return could be related to Danhausen referencing something "big" on this past Friday's episode of Smackdown, but cautioned that it is only his opinion.
Corbin left WWE in the fall of 2024 after his contract expired. Since then, he has wrestled on the indies under the name Bishop Dyer. He had been with WWE for 12 years and is a past winner of the Money in the Bank, King of the Ring, Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal as well as a former WWE United States Champion.
