Report: Kevin Owens Suffers Sprained Right MCL at House Show This Weekend

-- Another WWE superstar seems to have suffered an injury, which has the potential to be worse than currently believed. Kevin Owens suffered a right knee injury at Sunday's WWE house show in Madison, WI in a match against Austin Theory. The injury took place after Owens tried to plant his knee and it gave way. The two wrestlers went to a quick finish and Owens won the match via a Stunner, but needed assistance from the referees to make it to the back.

-- Dave Meltzer of f4wonline.com is reporting that the belief is that Owens has suffered an MCL and that WWE officials are hopeful that the injury doesn't turn out more serious than that. Soon after the injury happened, Owens himself reacted in a manner that suggested that he believed he had blown out his knee so a best case scenario with a sprained MCL is that he will out of action a few weeks, however, any further injury would extend that timeline considerably. Owens has been off TV the last few weeks as WWE was building towards Crown Jewel - an event that he wasn't going to attend. However, he has been active at house shows during this time.
