-- Roderick Strong has requested his release from WWE. Fightfulselect.com reports that Strong has asked to be let go "multiple times" over the last few months, having grown frustrated with multiple issues. His release request has thus far been denied by WWE.
-- Strong is the last remaining member of NXT's "Undisputed Era" and subsequently there was a pitch to push a new stable "Diamond Mind" which would have consisted of Strong, Tyler Rust, Arturo Ruas, Malcolm Bivens, Hideki Suzuki as well as Strong's wife, Marina Shafir. Shortly before that pitch, Strong re-signed with WWE for multiple years so he has considerable time left on his deal, however, every other member of the proposed stable above is no longer with WWE.
-- The report goes onto state that WWE officials pitched a name change to Strong which he opposed and the feeling is that he is likely interested in going to AEW where all his friends and his wife currently wrestle. Some WWE officials were surprised that Strong wasn't included in the last round of cuts last Friday due to his clear intentions of wanting out. However, these officials also point out that despite his unhappiness, Strong has remained professional throughout and the company insists that he figures into their creative plans moving forward, suggesting there are no plans at all to grant him the release.
