Don't expect to see "The Tribal Chief" live on tonight's edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown on FOX.
Roman Reigns has subsequently been removed from the advertising on the official events website for the weekly two-hour WWE on FOX show set for this evening.
As our own Jeff Whalen reported here at Rajah.com on Thursday via a report first published by Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, "The Head of the Table" is not expected to work the upcoming WWE Money In The Bank pay-per-view scheduled for Saturday, July 2, 2022 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
In related news, Reigns doesn't appear to be booked for as many TVs in the coming weeks due to him not being booked for WWE Money In The Bank.
A prime example would be tonight's SmackDown. Due to the fact that there is no high-profile match to promote, or bout of any kind in this case, Reigns isn't needed on some of the upcoming TVs.
Instead, that promotional time can be reserved for other significant bouts on the card that WWE will be banking on to draw buys for the aforementioned pay-per-view on 7/2 in Las Vegas, such as the Men's and Women's Money In The Bank ladder matches.
What members of the WWE Universe can expect when tuning into tonight's edition of Friday Night SmackDown is Ricochet vs. Gunther for the WWE Intercontinental Championship, Lacey Evans vs. Xia Li in a qualifying match for the Women's Money In The Bank ladder match, as well as Drew McIntyre vs. Sheamus in a Men's Money In The Bank qualifier.
