Tony D'Angelo could be joining the injury list.
The NXT Superstar appeared to go down with an injury at the NXT non-televised live event at the Largo Events Center in Largo, Florida on Saturday night.
At the NXT Largo event on June 11, 2022, D'Angelo suffered an arm or shoulder injury while working a one-on-one match against Cameron Grimes.
While unsure on the severity of the injury at this point, Dave Meltzer confirmed that D'Angelo was legitimately hurt during the Grimes match this weekend while talking about the story on his Wrestling Observer Radio program at F4WOnline.com.
"I know Tony D’Angelo got hurt tonight in Largo," Meltzer stated on the latest episode of the show on Sunday. "I don’t know how serious yet but I’ll try to find out in the morning.”
As a result of the injury, the call was made to abruptly end the bout on the spot, with the referee calling off the contest and awarding Grimes the victory via stoppage.
We will update you on the condition of the leader of the new Wiseguys faction in NXT as soon as more information on Tony D'Angelo's injury surfaces.
