Report: Vince McMahon Executed Shakeup That Led to Stephanie McMahon's Leave of Absence

-- Stephanie McMahon announced last month that she was taking an indefinite leave of absence to focus on her family and soon thereafter, reports began to surface that she wouldn't be back for a long time and if and when she does return, she wouldn't be given her Chief Brand Officer role back. There were also reports that suggested that several higher up officials were trashing her on the way out, but of course wouldn't speak publicly about it.

-- Business Insider had an article over the weekend that seemed to suggest that Stephanie's departure was a shakeup that was executed by WWE CEO Vince McMahon with one insider stating:

"Family or not family, we've got to get the right people in place. WWE is currently interviewing candidates to fill Stephanie McMahon's role and grow the company's brand and sponsorship deals. On a November earnings call, Stephanie McMahon spoke about WWE's potential in the brand and sponsorship arena. There is no reason why in the next three to five years, we couldn't be in the hundreds of millions of dollars. We weren't seeing that growth. When someone is moved out of a company, it's usually the result of something not working. We took stronger control of that a few months ago."
