-- WWE recently unveiled a new mid-card United States title for the women's division and the belt landed on Smackdown with an ongoing tournament set to culminate next month at Saturday Night's Main Event with the first ever Women's US Title holder. At the time, it was reported and re-reported that none of the female wrestlers on Raw had heard of rumblings of a complementary title on the red brand and that there were no imminent plans for the company to launch another belt. That appears to be changing in the New Year.
-- PWInsiderelite.com is reporting that WWE is already in the planning stages to introduce a WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship title on Monday Night Raw when it shifts over to Netflix. The report added that the expectation internally is that the new title won't get rolled out until the new Women's US Title is crowned and established.
