-- According to a report from fightfulselect.com, WWE is expected to sign MMA star Valerie Loureda to a contract. Loureda recently met with WWE officials and reportedly made a "great impression" and was said to be a "slam dunk" to end up with the company. There's also a possibility that she has already signed a deal, though neither side has made any sort of announcement as of yet. If and when she does sign, WWE is hoping to have her available for the next training class at the Performance Center, currently scheduled to begin in mid-July.
-- Loureda is trained by a group led by former WWE wrestler Gangrel and was given a tryout at the WWE Performance Center after WrestleMania, which is where she drew some good reviews for her work. Loureda, 3-1 as an MMA fighter, is currently signed by Bellator, who will retain her services should the wrestling situation not work out.
