It looks like WWE is going to once again be expanding Friday Night Smackdown from two hours to three.
The WrestleVotes X account is reporting that beginning with the first episode of 2026, WWE and the USA Network have decided to move Smackdown to three hours. The January 2 show will air live from Buffalo, NY.
It wasn't clarified whether this was a permanent move or temporary as it was this year when Smackdown had aired for three hours for the first six months before reverting to two in June.
