Consistent with rumors that followed him for a long time, Aleister Black made the jump back to WWE just a few short months ago and is already generating a lot of buzz backstage.
PWInsiderelite.com reports that internally, WWE officials have been praising Black in creative circles and that the company has earmarked him to be elevated into a bigger role within the promotion. They compare the situation to Damian Priest a few years ago who was also pegged as someone the company wanted to invest in and that certainly came to fruition. The same is now being said of Black with WWE officials wanting to "raise his profile" on their Smackdown brand.
The report adds that this is the reason why Black has been interacting with many other WWE personalities in recent weeks as it will be used to move him "upwards" on the roster with the company being very happy at both his work and the way his merchandise is selling. His push also explains why Black hasn't lost a singles match since returning last month.
