-- Samantha Irvin shocked the wrestling world yesterday by announcing her immediate departure from WWE but without providing any context or reasons for leaving. While rumors began circulating that Irvin wanted out in order to join her husband Ricochet in AEW, it appears there might have been a different reason for her exit.
-- Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer stated that Irvin's ambitions to pursue a music career was the main reason for her leaving. He noted that Irvin is looking to focus more on her music and could not come to terms with WWE on outside projects and also that she had been contemplating this decision for about a year.
-- Responding to a social media post that suggested she only let WWE know about her decision to leave hours before Raw, Irvin refuted that report saying by saying that she let the company know months beforehand. Ricochet also attempted to quiet rumors that Irvin was headed to AEW by stating that is not her intention and Meltzer also corroborated that saying that while she could always pop up there, it is not currently in her plans.
