Following WrestleMania 42, change is in the air for WWE with a wave of talent cuts taking place on Friday and now changes are coming to one of the company's flagship shows.
BodySlam+ is reporting that according to WWE sources, Smackdown is headed back down to two hours after expanding to three hours for the first part of 2026.
While the exact timeframe wasn't revealed, it was noted that this should be happening "in a few weeks" which seems to suggest that it will take place sooner in the year than it did last year when the show stayed at three hours all the way until the first week of July.
The report noted that the move from three hours to two hours is strictly a call being made by the USA Network rather than a WWE call and this always has to do with other shows that the network wants in that last hour time slot at 10 PM Eastern. One of the shows that is expected to air at that time is Braun Strowman's "Everything on the Menu."
