It was previously reported that according to NJPW Will Ospreay suffered a neck injury last May 4, and is now set to return to the U.K. for treatment and to rehab his injury, which is why Will Ospreay had no choice but to relinquish the IWGP Heavyweight Title.
Aside from being the IWGP Heavyweight Champion, Will is also the RevPro British Heavyweight Champion, which is why Revolution Pro took to their Twitter and issued a statement on the status of the title.
It was revealed on the statement that it's too early to say anything and their situation is different from that of NJPW's situation, which is why no immediate changes are needed to be made. The statement also reads that Ospreay will address the situation in person at one of RevPro's first shows back.
You can check out Revolution Pro's statement below:
Too early to say. Our situation is very different to NJ. No immediate changes need to be made as we hadn't factored any title defences for first shows back. Time will tell. But we've spoken to Will & he will likely address the situation in person at one of our first shows back https://t.co/Y1pfiOZlkh
