Ric Flair Says Hulk Hogan Died From "Street Drugs": "It' Going To Come Out In Next 30 Days ..."

During a recent appearance on the Double Coverage podcast, Ric Flair delivered a striking claim about what he believes caused the death of Hulk Hogan.

According to “The Nature Boy,” the ultimate cause behind the loss of the wrestling and pop-culture icon was “street drugs.”

"I talked to him the day before he died," Flair said. "I shouldn’t say this, but what killed him was street drugs."

The two-time WWE Hall of Famer expanded on the situation, noting Hogan’s struggles with pain and complications from a neck procedure.

"When the doctor wouldn’t prescribe anymore, he was in so much pain," Flair explained. "And he had that neck surgery and it got infected so back in the hospital."

Flair further claimed that Hogan began turning to street drugs after his doctor refused to provide additional prescription pain medication.

"And then when the doctor would not prescribe any more pain medicine," he continued. "They just couldn’t do it in all good conscience. So they went and got the drugs off the street. His body just said, 'You know what? Bingo. I can’t do it anymore.'"

Later in the interview, Flair added that he expects details surrounding Hogan’s actual cause of death to surface publicly in the near future.

"It’s all going to come out in the media in the next 30 days," he said. "You’ll read about it anyway. I just don’t feel free to talk about it."

Hulk Hogan, born Terry Bollea, passed away on July 24, 2025, at age 71 from a reported heart attack.
