Wednesday was a big night for Ricky Starks.
The FTW Champion and New Orleans native picked up a big win in tag-team action on AEW Dynamite, as he and fellow Team Taz member Powerhouse Hobbs scored a victory over Shane "Swerve" Strickland and Keith Lee at the show held in his hometown venue at UNO at Lakefront Arena in Louisiana.
Additionally, Starks appeared in a lengthy post-show segment in the ring, which also featured appearances by Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson, Wheeler Yuta, William Regal, Danhausen, Hook and others.
After the show, the AEW Rampage color-commentator chimed in on social media to comment on one of the biggest nights, and one that will no doubt long be considered one of the most memorable of his career.
"Purpose is the reason you journey," Starks wrote. "Passion is the fire that lights the way."
In an additional tweet posted as a reply on Thursday morning, the AEW star added, "That’s all to say is sometimes you work and work and work and may not always get certain things but at least let your passion push you to keep working."
Starks concluded, "11 years and more lord willing."
