Kevin Federline holds a victory over John Cena in a live televised match from a 2007 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw.
I know ... who?!
Federline is best known for being the former husband of pop music icon Britney Spears, defeated Cena on the January 1, 2007 installment of the longest running weekly episodic television program in WWE history.
On the latest episode of the "Oh ... You Didn't Know with Road Dogg and Ryan Katz" podcast, former D-Generation X / New Age Outlaws member Road Dogg Brian James and longtime backstage producer for WWE reflected back and shared his memories on the infamous Federline-Cena showdown from the 1/1/2007 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw.
“Well, I’d rather [that had not] happened,” James said. “That was another David Arquette moment for me. The good part about it was it was during Kevin’s 15 minutes of fame, but he never truly had that fame, you know what I mean? Truth be told, this was probably the biggest moment of his life. … I just think this one didn’t hit good.”
Road Dogg continued, “It’s business. He was asked to do it,” James stated. “It might’ve been his idea, because that’s how John Cena works. He thinks about the bigger picture, he has a vision. Look, mission accomplished.”
