The closing segment of last Friday night's episode of WWE SmackDown saw a WWE Universal Title Matchup be teased for the 2022 WWE Royal Rumble Event between WWE Universal Champion "The Tribal Chief" Roman Reigns and Seth "Freakin" Rollins, when two of the top stars in the company had a face-off, with Seth "Freakin" Rollins laughing. This comes after WWE official Adam Pearce promising to name Reigns' Royal Rumble opponent by the end of SmackDown.
Last night's RAW episode would then see the match be made official for the Royal Rumble, when Rollins would announce the match and promise to win the match he calls a Brother vs. Brother Match. There was also an announcement that Seth "Freakin" Rollins will be making an appearance on this coming Friday's SmackDown to further his storyline with The Tribal Chief ahead of their clash at the Royal Rumble.
The 2022 Royal Rumble Premium Live Event is set to take place on Saturday, January 29th from The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis, Missouri.
