-- CBS Sports' Shakiel Mahjouri recently sat down for an interview with former WWE and UFC champion Ronda Rousey where they discussed a variety of topics including if she would ever consider returning to UFC in any capacity, her writing aspirations and her time in WWE. Below are some of the highlights.
Paul Heyman's Legacy
"I feel like he's the absolute backbone of that industry that people don't see. He is literally everyone's mentor. Every successful storyline loops back to him. The industry would be a shell of itself without him and they should feel so lucky to have his time because he could be spending that genius on anything else. But he spends 100% of his time and energy on the WWE. He is the person who encouraged me creatively that believed I was so much more than what my body could do. He encouraged me to write and create and he's the person that told me 'you need to go write your own story' and no one really saw in that light before."
On Vince McMahon's Departure From WWE & The New Regime
"Well I think anyone is better than Vince McMahon; the only place you can go is up. I really enjoyed Triple H and working with him and honestly, I haven't been watching but I saw something from Nattie that they had a card recently that had just as many women on it as men. That's what I would really like to see is women equally represented, not just matches on the card but time on the show. I feel there's no place they can go but up and I'm really really happy for all the women who are still there and thriving under the new regime."
