Saraya/Paige Makes Debut With AEW on Dynamite; Tony Khan Announces Signing

-- Saraya-Jade Bevis, formerly known as Paige in WWE circles, has joined All Elite Wrestling, making her debut at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam earlier tonight following the women's title match, presumably aligning with Toni Storm and Athena by saving them from Britt Baker, Jamie Hayter, and Serena Deeb. Soon after her debut, AEW CEO Tony Khan quickly took to Twitter to announce that Saraya has signed with his company.

-- The former Paige left WWE in early July after her contract was not renewed, having not wrestled since 2017 after re-aggravating a neck injury during a house show but was still used by WWE in various non-wrestling roles. AEW had reached out to Saraya very soon after her WWE deal expired but talks didn't really go anywhere, however, it was also believed that with WWE's change in regime, Triple H was interested in bringing her back too. Soon after becoming a free agent, Saraya had made her intentions clear that she was looking to get back into the ring which may have been a precursor to her leaving WWE as they had not only kept her out of the ring, but disqualified her from any sort of physicality at ringside.
