Seth Rollins Suffers Knee Injury At WWE Saturday Night's Main Event Prompting Changes

WWE superstar Seth Rollins suffered what may be a potentially serious knee injury last night on Saturday Night's Main Event.

Wrestling against LA Knight, Rollins appeared to hurt his right knee while attempting to hit a second rope springboard moonsault. Knight moved out of the way and Rollins landed and immediately grabbed the knee and eventually made his way to one of the corners. The referee and Paul Heyman both had words with him and when the match resumed, they immediately went to finish with Knight winning via BFT.

On commentary, Michael Cole and Wade Barrett acknowledged the injury and Rollins was helped to the back by multiple WWE officials, though that wasn't shown on the broadcast.

While many speculated that the injury was a work, perhaps tying into Rollins as the Money in the Bank winner and attempting to cash-in later in the night, sources have noted that the injury is 100% legitimate and potentially long-term in nature. Due to the match ending prematurely, not only was the finish modified (originally Rollins was supposed to win) but the rest of the program also had to change on-the-fly.
