As previously reported, multiple upcoming PPV dates was announced by IMPACT at last night's Rebellion PPV, which includes their biggest PPV of the year, Slammiversary. Prior to the Rebellion Event coming to a close, IMPACT Wrestling aired a promo for Slammiversary. Slammiversary's promo featured a number of recently released WWE Stars such as Samoa Joe, Chelsea Green and Mickie James. NJPW Star Kazuchika Okada, who previously wrestled for TNA/IMPACT, was also featured in the promo.
This is similar to what happened last year when the promo for Slammiversary featured Eric Young, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, Curt Hawkins, EC3, Drake Maverick, Mike Kanellis and Maria Kanellis, who were all released by the WWE as part of the company-wide cuts brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Slammiversary was announced to take place in July, but an exact date was not given.
