The Drew McIntyre vs. Sheamus No Holds Barred match that was "20 Years in the Making" at WWE Fastlane 2021 was arguably the show-stealer at the final pay-per-view leading up to WrestleMania 37.
If you ask "The Celtic Warrior," the WWE Universe got to see the main event of WrestleMania earlier than anticipated, referring to the match against "The Scottish Warrior" at Sunday night's special event at the ThunderDome inside of Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida.
After their match on the show wrapped up on Sunday evening, Sheamus took to social media to comment about the bout itself, while also showing off a photo of the toll his body took in a losing effort against the former WWE Champion.
"You just witnessed the main event of WrestleMania... 20 days early," wrote Sheamus via his official Twitter feed immediately after his match against Drew McIntyre at WWE Fastlane 2021, which for one reason or another is the only bout on the show that isn't represented on the official WWE YouTube channel with a highlight recap video of any kind.
The tweet, which was posted as the show was still in progress, concluded with the hashtags "#WWEFastlane" and "#TopThat."
Embedded below is the post from the official Twitter feed of the WWE veteran, which features a photo showing Sheamus' back covered in welts and bruises after enduring a considerable amount of punishment at the hands of his former longtime friend turned bitter enemy.
