Shinsuke Nakamura Says Brock Lesnar Was “Unprofessional” In NJPW

WWE Star Shinsuke Nakamura recently appeared on an episode of Renee Paquette’s Oral Sessions podcast, where he talked about a number of topics, including why he got into martial arts, the pressure he had in carrying NJPW on his shoulders when he became the youngest heavyweight champion, if he felt people were jealous of him or had a problem with him at the time he became the champion, what was everyone's reaction in NJPW when Brock Lesnar won the title, went away and took the title with him and more.

Below are the highlights:

On why he got into martial arts:

“Two older sisters always bullied me. My sister’s friend tried to bully me. I was too nice, still. I want to be a man. That’s why I started and was interested in martial arts, to be strong and to be a man. Also, I’m a big fan of ninja and samurai. Finally, I found wrestling. Wrestlers do matches almost every day, so if that makes me tough, then I should be a wrestler.”

On the pressure he had in carrying NJPW on his shoulders when he became the youngest heavyweight champion:

“Actually, I didn’t have any experience. I just need to do what they want.”

On if he felt people were jealous of him or had a problem with him at the time he became the champion:

“Yes. I felt I didn’t have friends in this company.”

On if he wants to have a rematch with Brock Lesnar if he shows back up in WWE:

“If I have the opportunity, of course.”

On what was everyone's reaction in NJPW when Brock Lesnar won the title, went away and took the title with him:

“Unprofessional.”
