It’s Wednesday again(check that, it’s totally Sunday), and that means it’s time for the recap of the WWE YouTube show, The Bump! Today’s show is full of guests, including Apollo Crews, Sheamus, and Paul Heyman. Now that we’re all caught up on what’s going down, let’s take a look at The Bump!
⁃ Kayla Braxton welcomes the viewers to the show, and introduces her co-hosts, Matt Camp, Evan Mack, and Ryan Pappolla. The Crew gets fired up for Fastlane, before Kayla brings on the first guest, Apollo Crews.
Apollo Crews
Crews starts off by being upset about his introduction, and says “that was not up to my standards”. Kayla begins by asking Apollo if he thinks tonight’s opportunity is his chance to put a stamp on his new self. Crews tells her “I’ve waited to long, and it’s time for me to take what I want”. Ryan wonders what has changed about Apollo, and Crews talks about his old self, stating “he is weak, that guy is never coming back”. Crews reiterates what he said, and tells the crew “he’s gone for good, and he’s never coming back, believe that”. Matt wonders what took so long for us to see the “real Apollo Crews”, and Crews mentions “I just wanted to be like everyone else, and I cared what people think. Now I don’t care what anyone thinks, or what anyone says, only what I want”. Evan asks if Big E’s “carefree attitude” is a slight to Crews, and Apollo tells him “of course it is, and now he will take my serious, and I want to fight”. Kayla rejoins the conversation, and asks if this is “personal now”. Apollo responds, and tells Kayla “it could have been anybody who was hold that title, because that’s what I want”. Ryan redirects the conversation, and asks what the family reaction has been to the new Apollo. Crews tells him “I’m closer to my father now. I’m learning about the history of my family, and that is what I want to represent”. Evan asks about the “elite guards”, and Crews explains who they are. Apollo says “they will do anything on command, and they are loyal to me. If you see me with them, you better show some respect”. Matt takes Crews back to the time he was shown in Roman Reigns locker room, and Apollo explains “I believed in myself as much as he believed in me”. Matt wonders if Roman is still a “mentor” to Apollo, and Crews tells him “I’m not going to tell all of my secrets”. Ryan takes Apollo back to his debut, and wonders what happened between then and now. Crews mentions “I just accepted everything that came my way instead of challenging it. Looking at that clip back makes me laugh. But it is nice to be reminded of what I never want to be again”. Crews delivers a final message to Big E, and says “we all know what’s coming, so just sit back and watch”. Kayla thanks Apollo for joining the show, and the crew moves on to the next segment.
⁃ The hosts hype the WWE Network moving to Peacock, and tonight’s WWE Watch Along, then hype Fastlane more. Viewers also hear a message from Paul Heyman, who says “I’m the GOAT around here”. Heyman continues and promotes the main event of Fastlane. Heyman tells the viewers “it’s a fact that Daniel Bryan has the ability to pull this off, except not against Roman Reigns”. Paul lists all of the accolades Reigns has, and adds “he’s going to beat Daniel Bryan tonight, and it will be a sacrifice”.
⁃ Once Heyman moves on, Kayla announces that Edge will be on the next “Grit and Glory” with Samoa Joe. The crew also tells us which guests will be on the Wednesday, and they include Kane, Rey Mysterio, Kurt Angle, and Victoria.
After the announcements, Kayla brings on the final guest, Sheamus.
Sheamus
Sheamus starts off with a few jokes for Kayla, who apparently “lives in Jurassic Park”. Kayla begins by asking how Sheamus feels ahead of his match, and he explains “I’m feeling pretty confident obviously”. Sheamus adds “this is personal to me, and personal to Drew”. Sheamus continues, and tells the crew “we wrestled together, we came here together, and it was our goal to be here”. Sheamus closes the answer, and states “I always had Drew’s back, and took care of him” and explains the background between the two at length. Sheamus closes his opening statement by saying “Drew forgot about the people who helped him along the way”. Matt takes Sheamus back to a nice comment he made about Drew during a previous episode of The Bump, and Sheamus responds to the moment. Sheamus took a shot for McIntyre, after he won the WWE Championship. Sheamus says “I was proud of him, and I meant it, but alot has changed”. Sheamus adds that “I’ve had my own battles to fight, and I feel that I’ve torn it down lately”. Sheamus believes he has stepped up the most during the pandemic era of wrestling, and “no one is more passionate than me”. Sheamus continues, as mentions “I’ve trained as hard as I could the last 12 months, I’m boxing and doing MMA, and I’ve scratched my way back into the position I’m in”. Sheamus closes by saying “Fastlane tonight is my opportunity to remind everyone who Sheamus is. I will treat the match as if it’s my last match, and put my body on the line”. Sheamus adds in one last line on the subject, and says “I’ve been overlooked, and tonight I’m going to make a mockery out of the Wrestlemania main event”. Ryan tells Sheamus that “the passion is clear”, and wonders why Sheamus isn’t in Wrestlemania. Sheamus tells him “I don’t think people believe I’m the draw that I know I am, there might be some politics involved”. Sheamus continues on the subject, and adds “the reason for the Faslane match is for me to prove that I’m the most valuable bleeding guy of the last 12 months, and I will prove it tonight”. Sheamus says “I need to prove to everyone that Sheamus is the most deserving superstar to be at wrestlemania, and I’ll sit back with a pint and laugh, while I watch the main event”. Kayla asks Sheamus to elaborate on that, and “The Celtic Warrior” explains “what I have that no one else has is unrivaled intensity and passion”. Sheamus adds “I start from scratch every match, and that’s my secret, that’s what keeps me hungry”. Sheamus closes out the answer by saying “I know when people leave a match with me, they feel an adrenaline rush from being in a real scrap”. Ryan wants to know if Sheamus has a “favorite high impact maneuver other than the brogue”, and Sheamus explains “the funny thing is I have these massive legs, and like to use my knees, and what I have at my disposal”. Sheamus says he misses using the “Celtic Cross”, and sends a final message to Drew. Sheamus tells the hosts “Drew knows he’s on for a war, and he’s knows I’m gonna leave it all in the ring”. Sheamus closes by saying “Drew better step up or step aside, and if you want to see two bleeding bulls go at it” then watch Fastlane. Kayla wishes Sheamus all the best, and the interview comes to a close.
The Crew makes their final predictions for Fasltane, and mention next weeks guests one last time, as the show fades to black.
That’s all for this weeks episode of The Bump! Thanks for stopping by the recap, and have a great rest of your day everyone.
