Special Referee Revealed For Tag Team Title Match At WWE SummerSlam

WWE previously announced five huge matchups for their upcoming WWE SummerSlam Event. It was announced that Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns will defend his championship against Brock Lesnar in a Last Man Standing Match, WWE United States Champion Bobby Lashley will put his title on the line against "Mr. Money In The Bank" Theory, Pat McAfee will go up against Happy Corbin in Singles action, WWE SmackDown Women's Champion Liv Morgan will put her WWE SmackDown Women's Championship on the line against Ronda Rousey and reigning Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) will defend their Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships against The Street Profits (Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins).

It was then revealed that the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Title Match at WWE's SummerSlam Event will have a special guest referee after the controversial finish surrounding The Usos and Street Profits' Match at WWE Money In The Bank. During last night's episode of WWE SmackDown, WWE official Adam Pearce made a huge announcement that WWE Hall of Famer and Senior Vice President of Live Events Jeff Jarrett will be the special guest referee for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Title Match at WWE SummerSlam.

WWE official Adam Pearce made his way out and revealed the huge news following the show's main event, where Angelo Dawkins defeated Jimmy Uso in Singles action. The finish of the main event on WWE Friday Night SmackDown last night was similar to the finish of the title match at WWE Money In The Bank. The Usos retained over The Street Profits despite Montez Ford's shoulder being up, while last night's WWE SmackDown saw Dawkins get the win over Jimmu Uso while Uso had his right arm and shoulder up.

The 2022 WWE SummerSlam Premium Live Event will take place on Saturday, July 30 inside Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee.
