Top independent talent Starboy Charlie participated in last Friday’s WWE EVOLVE television taping, and reports suggest he is currently under a contract with the company. According to Bodyslam+, Charlie’s appearance at the taping indicates that he is part of WWE's ID program.
Details about when Charlie signed the contract remain unclear, but he recently took part in a WWE tryout. The WWE ID program allows prospective talent to sign with the company while receiving support for their development as they continue to compete on the independent scene. Talents under WWE ID contracts often wrestle for EVOLVE, which airs weekly on Wednesday nights on Tubi.
Charlie, an 11-year veteran, regularly competes for West Coast Pro Wrestling, GCW, and various other promotions. He made his House of Glory debut in January at the HOG City of Angels event, challenging Daron Richardson for the promotion’s Cruiserweight Championship. Between 2023 and 2025, he participated in three matches for AEW, most recently teaming with Jack Banning and Titus Alexander against The Opps during AEW Collision in March of last year.
Currently, Charlie is a two-time co-holder of the West Coast Pro Tag Team Championships alongside Titus Alexander. He is also a former Prestige Champion and has previously held the West Coast Pro Heavyweight Championship.
