State Of Florida Renaming Part Of Trail In Honor Of Late Hulk Hogan

The state of Florida is paying tribute to Hulk Hogan by renaming part of the Pinellas Trail after the late wrestling icon.

On Friday, Governor Ron DeSantis joined members of the Hogan family at Hogan’s Hangout in Clearwater to officially announce that a two-mile stretch of the trail — running from Oak Avenue to Coronado Drive — will now be known as the “Hulk Hogan Trail.”
In addition to the trail dedication, the state of Florida had previously proclaimed August 1, 2025, as “Hulk Hogan Day.”

Hogan’s wife Sky, his son Nick, daughter-in-law Tana, and longtime friend Jimmy Hart were all present for the ceremony. The trail will feature red-and-yellow signage in Hogan’s honor, as well as outdoor fitness stations like pull-up bars for the public to use.

Nick Hogan called the dedication a “living legacy” for his father, saying:

“This is something that my dad would be so, so proud of. Clearwater was always home for him… no matter how far he traveled, he always came back here. He loved this community, and knowing that part of this trail now carries his name means the world to us.”

Hart called it “a great day” and thanked WWE, TKO, and DeSantis for their role in keeping Hogan’s legacy alive.

Hulk Hogan, 71, passed away in July at his Clearwater home following complications from neck surgery. His widow is expected to file a medical malpractice lawsuit connected to the procedure.
