Steve Austin Teases WrestleMania 41 Return: "I Won't Leave Nevada, But WrestleMania Next Year Is In Vegas ..."

'Stone Cold' Steve Austin spoke with The Athletic this week and has the pro wrestling world buzzing after making a not-so-subtle tease for a return at WrestleMania 41 in 2025.

The WWE Hall of Fame legend spoke with Christopher Kamrani of The Athletic in an interview that was released on Thursday, August 1, 2024, and during the discussion, "The Texas Rattlesnake" spoke about his most recent WrestleMania appearance, while teasing another one possibly coming sooner than fans might expect.

"(Kevin Owens) got in the ring with the name 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin, but he didn’t get in with the true 'Stone Cold' who was a (expletive) machine," Austin said, when reflecting on coming out of retirement for a match against 'The Prize Fighter' at WrestleMania 38. "When the ball rang, I was an (expletive). And he didn’t get that guy. That’s what I was mad about. I wanted him to know what it was like to be in there with the (expletive) when he’s on. You try to be the guy you were, you try to be in that alpha state. Although your mindset is there, physically you are not."

Fast-forward to today, "The Bionic Redneck" is working on a new project that involves off-road buggy races in Nevada. While talking about that, he dropped a line that caught the attention of the collective pro wrestling community across the globe.

"I said I won’t leave Nevada," Austin said. "It’s hard to get me out of this state. But … WrestleMania next year is in Vegas. That’s in Nevada."
