Sting Gets Grand Farewell From AEW After Revolution 2024 PPV Goes Off The Air

Sting's farewell continued after the cameras stopped rolling at AEW Revolution 2024.

Following the show, which saw Sting and Darby Allin retain the AEW World Tag-Team Championships with a victory over The Young Bucks, Sting addressed the live crowd as the PPV broadcast was going off the air.

After the show went to black, the action continued inside the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, N.C.

Sting called down his two sons, who appeared as nWo Wolfpac red-and-black Sting and "Surfer" Sting, like they did for his special ring entrance.

AEW President Tony Khan also came out.

The AEW boss man thanked the crowd for their tribute to "The Icon," and called AEW Revolution 2024 the greatest pro wrestling pay-per-view ever.

Darby Allin, who was still out there, thanked everyone for coming and said he hopes he and Sting gave them their money's worth. He then mentioned that he was about to go to the hospital for the many glass cuts he had on his back. Sting jokingly said for him to text him and tell him how many stitches that caused.

From there, Sting had Tony Schiavone do one final, "It's STING!" call on the microphone. The AEW roster and several officials then made their way out to the stage to give Sting a standing ovation, as fans chanted "Thank you, Sting!"

Things wrapped up soon after, as Sting hugged his sons in the ring as his theme song played. He hugged everyone on the roster before returning to ringside to slap hands with some of the fans. He hugged his family, as well as David Crockett and Justin Roberts, and stopped for a quick "selfie" photo with Dax Harwood.
