Steve Austin might be stepping back behind the mic.
Back in 2013, "Stone Cold" launched The Steve Austin Show, one of the earliest wrestling podcasts hosted by a wrestler. It became a must-listen for fans, with Austin sitting down for candid conversations with some of the biggest names in the business—Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Eric Bischoff, Jim Ross, and many more. He later went on to host The Broken Skull Sessions on the WWE Network and Peacock, where he continued to bring his trademark style to interviews with wrestling legends.
Now, it sounds like Austin is thinking about starting something new.
During a recent appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show, Austin revealed he's been toying with the idea of jumping back into the podcast world.
"I guess I got lucky because I looked at a lot of people when I first started doing the podcast and interviewing people and when you first start talking to people, even though you’ve been talking your whole life, interviewing is something different. It’s a learned skill. I guess I grabbed onto it okay. I wouldn’t say I’m the best by any stretch. I’ve been thinking a little bit about starting back in the podcast business. I think my podcast aired five years ago. I’ve been thinking about getting back in the game. Maybe something more about my life than interviewing people. I’m trying to make a decision on that," Austin said.
While The Steve Austin Show is still technically active, new episodes haven't dropped in years—only reruns have aired. But if Austin decides to make a return, it sounds like fans might be getting a more personal side of the Texas Rattlesnake.
