Swerve Strickland Talks Adjusting AEW Theme Song, Ideas For Prince Nana's Dance

Swerve Strickland recently spoke with Fightful for an in-depth interview covering all things pro wrestling.

During the discussion, the rising AEW star spoke about adjusting his "Big Pressure" theme song, as well as ideas he's had for Prince Nana's dance routine for his entrance.

Featured below are some of the highlights from the interview where he touches on these topics with his thoughts.

On his theme song: "Yeah, it takes a while for a song to really catch and then kind of break. So it took, like, a year in a sense of like playing it over and over again, getting people attached to it. But, okay, my character was going in a different direction. So honestly, I had to shift into changing it up, like changing the guitars, the BPMs, slowing it down, getting the tempo and all these things changing. Then it got a little slower, so now a lot more people could go along to the beat a little more, then Nana coming in and adding the dance took it to a viral level of having a visual. Honestly, music having a visual to it takes it to [a new level]. Like Michael Jackson and his music videos, he’s adding a visual to it, takes the record way even higher. So that’s what happened with Big Pressure, I would say."

On Prince Nana's dance and possibly adding to it: "Going back to me and Nana, using the opposites to make us compatible in a sense. I was saying with the dancers and all that, I was like, ‘You know what would be great to have for Nana since this is taking off? A dance quartet with more women. Add women to it.’ ‘Okay.’ Sure enough, we throw that on there and next thing you know, now the women are in the intro of the show."
