Last Wednesday's episode of AEW Dynamite saw Adam Cole face Christian Cage in the opening matchup and come out of the match with the huge victory. After the match, reDRagon (Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish) made their way down to the ring and attacked Christian until AEW World Tag Team Champions Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy made their way out to even the odds and both teams fought their way to the back.
AEW World Champion "Hangman" Adam Page would then make his way down to the ring to confront Adam Cole and challenge him to a Texas Death Match on the live April 15 episode of AEW Rampage on TNT, with his AEW World Title on the line. AEW has since confirmed the match between Hangman Page and Adam Cole.
