Ticket Revenue For AEW Dynamite Grand Slam Topped One Million & Among Highest Ever in the U.S.

– AEW’s recently completed Dynamite Grand Slam on 9/21 at Arthur Ashe Stadium drew 13,800 fans with approximately 12,600 of them being paid, bringing the total gate to $1,020,000, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The attendance fell well short of last year’s show in the same building but the gate exceeded it (18,300 paid and $960,000 gate) due to the fact that AEW significantly increased the ticket prices.

– The report adds that the $1 million plus gate puts the show into esteemed territory as one of the top five or six top gates in United States history for a non-PPV event as WWE has topped that figure for three separate TV events, all in Madison Square Garden while the Raw after WrestleMania 2014 in New Orleans exceeded $1.1 million in gate. Overseas, Raw has topped $1.2 million gate for sold out shows in London and Manchester.
