— Multiple television industry experts are estimating AEW’s first TV show on TNT in October to generate in the neighbourhood of 500,000 viewers. One thing that will negatively affect viewership is that TNT has reportedly decided that the show will be treated as a “sports event” and thus, will air live on the West coast in the 5-7 PM time slot. For ratings purposes, a taped delayed airing in the 8-10 PM time slot on the West coast would be more beneficial.
— Tickets for the first show on 10/2 go on sale today at noon ET with the building being set up for 14,000 seats - something WWE only aims for its biggest PPV shows. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter suggests that first-day ticket sales of more than 6,000 would be on par with a usual WWE Raw while anything better than 9,000 seats would be considered great.
