Title Match Announced For WrestleMania 37 During SmackDown

During the Friday, March 26, 2021 edition of WWE SmackDown, WWE Official Adam Pearce came out to announce his decision regarding the match between Roman Reigns and Edge and if Daniel Bryan would get another shot at the Universal Championship.

Pearce was eventually joined in the ring by the current WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns (accompanied by "special counsel" Paul Heyman and cousin Jey Uso) who had just met with Edge about getting "the Daniel Bryan thing squashed". Edge made his way to the ring after the commercial break, joining Edge, Heyman, Uso and of course Adam Pearce in the ring. Finally Daniel Bryan also joined the ring which is when Pearce started handing out explanations.

Pearce first explained why they would naturally not want to have the WrestleMania matches back to back or right after another. Pearce continued that Bryan is right that there is a double standard and that he did earn a rematch. Then Pearce added that he agreed with Reigns in the fact he should only have to defend once.

Without everyone still waiting for an answer as to what Adam Pearce had decided, Pearce finally made the announcement that at WrestleMania 37, for the Universal Championship that the three of them would compete in a Triple Threat match!

Of course an all out brawl ensued to end the weekly edition of WWE SmackDown, with security attempting to break it up as the show went off the air!
