TKO Exec Provides Update On Future Of WWE Content Library, WWE NXT PLEs

WWE's agreement with Peacock to house their immense content library as well as air NXT PLEs is nearing an end, putting into question the future of these titles.

Speaking at the UBS Global Media & Communications Conference, TKO executive Mark Shapiro provided some clarity on the situation with the following highlights

WWE is working on a non-exclusive deal for both the library and the NXT shows that they expect to announce in the first quarter of 2026. WWE's deal with Peacock for the archives runs out at the end of 2025 while the deal for NXT PLEs expires at the end of March 2026.

Shapiro indicated said TKO is in no rush to ink a deal for NXT PLEs as they want to be "deliberate and thoughtful" about the process and right destination.

He also put over WWE and UFC continuing to work together, saying they are ahead of target on financial returns that they had estimated. Shapiro specifically referred to WWE as still having untapped potential through various revenue streams that weren't previously being capitalized on.

Shapiro said that ESPN is currently moving quickly to get various cable providers to sync up with ESPN thus giving those subscribers access to ESPN's new streaming platform where WWE PLEs air for free as part of their regular cable subs.

He also put over how ESPN parent company Disney presented the Wrestlepalooza PLE launch, pointing out that the company sent TKO a 10-page document on their ongoing plans to promote WWE on ESPN and that both sides are extremely happy with the partnership.
