TNA News: Elijah Injured, Slammiversary Main Event, Former WWE Star Debuts (Spoilers)

TNA Wrestling announced last night that Elijah (formerly known as Elias) suffered a torn triceps earlier in the week while competing on WWE NXT. The injury took place when Elijah came off the top rope and did a double knees to the chest, breaking his fall with his arm. He has already undergone surgery and is out indefinitely.

On last night's TNA TV tapings (airing next week), it was revealed that TNA Champion Trick Williams will defend his title against Joe Hendry on the July 20 TNA Slammiversary PPV in Long Island, NY.

Former WWE wrestler Cedric Alexander debut during the TV tapings on Friday in a confrontation with Mustafa Ali. Alexander was released from WWE earlier this year, where he was best known as being part of the Hurt Business. The others in that stable - Bobby Lashley, MVP and Shelton Benjamin - were also all released from WWE but have since joined AEW under the new stable name Hurt Syndicate.
