- Last year, WWE was very happy at the great job protecting the result of the Royal Rumble winner and company officials feel like they have done an even better job this year.
- Oba Femi, who will be in today's men's Rumble, is scheduled to begin appearing regularly on the main roster moving forward.
- WWE held rehearsals all week and the company felt more comfortable holding them given they had more privacy this year in Saudi Arabia as compared to shows in North America where "autograph hounds" would often be loitering around.
- Despite internet rumors, Killer Kross is not believed to be in Saudi Arabia for the Royal Rumble.
- Aleister Black is not scheduled for the Royal Rumble either.
- Roman Reigns traveled to Saudi Arabia late this week while most of the wrestlers and officials arrived earlier, on Tuesday.
- Tiffany Stratton and LA Knight are both expected to be at today's show as they were scheduled internally to travel. Stratton pretty much appears to be a lock to be competing in the women's match.
- There are multiple NXT talent that are scheduled for each of the Rumbles, including Lola Vice and Sol Ruca. Mr. Iguana ofAAA is also confirmed to be in Saudi Arabia.
- Will "Powerhouse" Hobbs" is in Saudi Arabia and also appears to be a lock to be making his WWE debut today.
- One of the ideas being pitched for the men's Rumble is a double "El Grande Americano" spot.
- Neither WWE nor AEW sources seem to know if AJ Styles is truly finishing up with WWE with today's match against Gunther.
- Michael Cole and Wade Barrett are scheduled to be behind the commentary booth for Royal Rumble.
- Chris Jericho's profile remains active on the AEW roster page, which would seem to suggest that he is still under contract and if that is true, is probably not going to be appearing on today's show.
