Tony Khan Addresses CM Punk's AEW Release To Chicago Crowd Prior To Start Of Collision

Saturday night's alright for fightin', and giving shoot speeches to crowds.

CM Punk's AEW release was addressed in front of the fans in his hometown of Chicago, Illinois on Saturday night, as AEW President Tony Khan spoke to the crowd prior to the start of Collision at the United Center.

Khan noted that Punk had been released from the company, citing the incident with Jack Perry backstage at AEW ALL IN 2023 at Wembley Stadium in London, England last Sunday as the reason.

The AEW President said that Punk posed a threat to the people working backstage, including the staff and production crew and that up until last Sunday, he had never felt threatened by his own security, safety, or life at a wrestling show.

He once again appeared on the broadcast itself to address the same situation.
