Tony Khan Comments On Rampage Match & Japanese Veteran, Konosuke Takeshita Responds

Konosuke Takeshita and Tony Khan had a respectable back-and-forth exchange on social media after the latest AEW television appearance by the Japanese veteran.

After Takeshita came up short in a losing effort against Eddie Kingston in the opening match of Friday night's AEW Rampage on TNT show, Khan took to Twitter and shared his thoughts on the match and Japanese performer.

"Thank you both for a classic match tonight on AEW Rampage on TNT," Khan wrote. "Eddie feels after this hard battle he has earned the right to now focus on his war with Chris Jericho."

Khan continued, with a message aimed at Takeshita.

"For you, Mr. Takeshita sir, I expect many great things in the future," he wrote. "See you Wednesday. Big domo to you."

Takeshita responded on his Twitter account soon after seeing the tweet.

"Thank you for giving us a chance," Takeshita responded. "I'm proud to be fighting in the AEW. I can't wait for Chris Jericho vs. Eddie Kingston because Jericho understands Japanese wrestling style too. See you next Wednesday! Arigatou!!"
